Ideas Unlimited, Mysuru along with associates developed, fabricated and deployed this Self-sustaining Modular Food Storage Silo for High Altitudes at Nubra Valley in Ladakh. Entire product was designed, developed and made in "namma Mysuru".

Product Deployed at Site, in high altitude!

This project was developed under the aegis of CSASDA and DFRL Mysuru as part of Young Scientist initiative. It was deployed for the Army.

Salient Features:
  1. Unique of its kind high quality insulated, modular expandable silo units - that contain temperature and humidity inside for a large extent.
  2. Designed to keep food usable when ambient temperatures outside are in the range or -30 to -40 degrees Celsius!
  3. Modular Units that can be expanded to bigger size if required. This unit had three modular pieces, put together as a single unit! Portable as well and can be moved from one place to another.
  4. Walk into type chamber, with shelves and walking corridor inside.Solar power harvested into power banks inside each modular units for maintaining appropriate temperatures inside Silo at tolerable levels for vegetables, Fruits, eggs and juices. System controls all the parameters required inside the unit, including switching on and off lights only when personnel are present inside.
  5. Intuitive control system that manages energy harvesting and energy consumption carefully so as to not waste energy and conserve energy. Also has built in error detection and diagnostics and host of sensors to measure and track various parameters.

Functional Miniature simulator developed at Ideas Unlimited, Mysuru

We have developed a miniature table top simulator for an MNC customer of ours. Nature of this project cannot be fully disclosed due to agreements with customer.

The simulator contained 4 cities, a highway and the works (including street lights, petrol bunk, water tank etc.) Street lights, lights within buildings switched on!
However we can showcase many of the miniature barely 1 inch tall models we developed as part of this miniature simulation system.

Everything can be digitally controlled using hardware below the simulator! It also had two digital displays disguised as bill boards to show state of the simulator and its components etc.

Picture of the simulator partially constructed and its electrical systems and wiring getting tested

The electronics that control the entire simulator, designed and developed by Ideas Unlimited, Mysuru
Simulator fabrication near complete. Ready to be painted/final finished.

Properietary Lightweight and extensible IOT stack (Hardware, Middleware and Software) solution.

Ideas Unlimited has till date worked on several IOT designs and products for third parties and customers. We cannot reveal every single IOT product/project we worked on due to NDAs and Agreements with customers. We have worked on close to five IOT related technologies/products till now.

Proprietary end to end IOT Stack to support iBotics platform of Sensital

Proprietary IOT Hardware/Software (Full stack) developed by Ideas Unlimited for Sensital.
However, this particular development we did for a Customer Sensital ( - External Link) was interesting!  (And details reproduced here with due permission from our customer).

This framework prototypes supported WiFi as ZIgbee based IOT Nodes! Further, it could be modified to use a GSM Module as well if required for really remote applications where setting up WiFi or Zigbee networks is not feasible!
A Zigbee to Wifi bridge device to interface the Zigbee Controller - and nodes attached to it to Internet
This framework was developed for the Australian company SENSITAL ( to complement their iBOTics platform. This Framework we developed is a proprietary IOT framework developed from the scratch using open source Atmel ARM 32 bit controller based hardware (ATSAM3X8E on top of Arduino Due) and our own proprietary software stack mostly using open source software and TCP/IP. The later versions will have only the ATSAM3X8E 32-Bit Arm controller with its own PCB for hardware and extension headers to interface to sensors and systems.

For more details about this IOT Framework we developed, visit our website page...

Blue tooth enabled Full Color Persistence of Vision (POV) Device developed for RevEngg, a Startup in Mysuru

We were approached by a group of students in sixth semester BE a while ago, who had founded their own startup company REVENGG (External Link to help build a product called "Blue Tooth enabled Multi-colored Persistence of Vision Device".

The product uses persistence of vision to display text/graphics in full color using just 20 RGB illuminators on a rotating arm! Best part, you can use a mobile app to beam messages to be displayed using Blue tooth to it!

The products displays a surreal text as if it is floating in mid-air!

See the video demo of the Blue tooth enabled RGB colored Persistence of Vision device:

The product finds application in advertising, marketing and other display and signage related applications.
